Electronic Marketing
AOT has approximately 2.2 million names in a consumer inquiry database. AOT uses this database to provide direct marketing opportunities to tourism partners around the state. Opportunities include sponsoring a monthly e-newsletter, leasing the AOT database, acquiring new customers through purchasing new names, and distributing marketing material through AOT Travel Packets and e-blasts.
Newsletter Participation
AOT sends out an e-newsletter monthly to a subscriber base and inquiries based on expressed interest. Themes and corresponding databases are rotated. Both destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and their membership base may participate in this program.
E-Blast Participation
AOT participates in many email marketing initiatives known as e-blasts. These offer great opportunity for Arizona DMOs and their membership to build a relationship with AOT and get their name to custom-targeted potential Arizona visitors.
Arizonaguide.com Participation
AOT's primary consumer website, www.arizonaguide.com, posts a calendar of events, travel information on where to go, where to stay and what to do along with links to Arizona's convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce, and other valuable Arizona tourism-related information.
To list an event on our statewide calendar, please contact Marjorie Magnusson at mmagnusson@azot.gov.
Arizona Travel Deals
Consumers use the Travel Deals feature on www.arizonaguide.com to find discounted/special offers on vacation packages. Businesses can list their offer free of charge once registered with AOT. For more information, visit the Arizona Tourism Partners section of our website and view our Travel Deals Help Guide.
Database Marketing
Capturing and analyzing data is integral to the success of AOT's advertising initiatives and relationship marketing projects. Currently AOT has a seamless process for data transfer and analysis from various inquiry sources (web, call center and mail) that enables the agency to capitalize on every inquiry.
For questions or more information on ways you may be able to utilize AOT's database, contact Sandy Pederson spederson@azot.gov.
